About Me

London City Therapy - Steven Mcfarlane

I am a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist,  accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I work using CBT theory, research  and techniques to promote self-understanding, change and compassion. I help clients to develop beneficial and compassionate attitudes towards themselves and others  within  the framework of time-limited therapy.

I have over a decade's experience of providing therapy to people with a range of difficulties using traditional CBT and am also experienced in providing 'third wave' CBT approaches including Compassion-focused therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.

Therapy is a healing process that is guided by kindness, an understanding of unhelpful patterns and commitment to making change.  I  support clients through therapy and coaching techniques by  promoting and developing personal strengths to achieve goals within life. Prior to starting therapy I offer a free 15 minute  web-consultation to highlight a therapy focus and discuss any queries.
